You then supported the receiver with one of the fork ears of the device, but the cable somehow remained hanging on you and the receiver crushed on the floor behind you, making you startle, and spilling out, like an inert tongue, the metal bulb. in which Anda’s voice resonates as if it had been transcribed into a much higher range. You would put everything back together, you thought, if Anda would wait a little longer; at the other end, however, there was silence. Quiet. Who is it? you asked in a neutral tone and the question first turned to you, as if the other, whoever he was, was already there beside you, and embarrassed you, made you control your tone and words, to watch out to your mime and gestures. “
