DESCRIPTION:
SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT Book Series includes monographs, treatises, doctoral theses, textbooks and university courses, scientific works, textbooks and courses for training programs, textbooks for pre-university education, curricular aids for higher and pre-university education, lectures, and other methodic scientific works of special value in the fields of social work, sociology, social psychology, developmental psychology, social intervention, applied ethics, gender studies.
Starting with 2018, following the restructuring of the LUMEN Scientific Publishing House Book Series, the Communication Book Series and the Political Science and Public Administration Book Series have been reunited into the Social Development Book Series, so that at present, titles from the fields of communication, European studies, political science and public administration are included among the books in the Social Development Book Series.
The SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT Book Series publishes scientific books in the fields indicated above, in accordance with the Editorial Rules of LUMEN Scientific Publishing House
BOOK SERIES COORDINATOR – PhD. ELENA UNGURU (GAFTON) – PhD in sociology, a title obtained in July 2019 with the thesis “The social construction of supervision in social work. Research in child protection institutions in the N-E region of Romania ”, under the leadership of Prof. PhD. Antonio Sandu. She obtained a master’s degree in Supervision and Social Planning (2010) within Al. I. Cuza University from Iaşi. She has a degree in Law (2014), awarded by “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava. She has a degree in Social Work (2008), awarded by Al. I. Cuza University from Iaşi. She has several diplomas in the fields of Trainer, Project Manager, Assistant in Public Relations and Communication, Evaluator of Providers and Training Programs and Certified Training Manager C.N.F.P.A. She currently works as a legal advisor at the Lumen Association in Iasi, coordinator of the Lumen Training and Consulting Center, as well as a researcher at the Lumen Research Center in Social and Humanistic Sciences. Her areas of interest are: sociology, law, social work, communication, appreciative survey. As a researches within the Lumen Research Center in Social and Humanistic Sciences, she participated in the organization of conferences for Lumen Association, participated in conferences under the affiliation of Lumen Research Center in Social and Humanistic Sciences and published books and articles in specialized journals. She is a member of the editorial staff or a referent of over 8 WOS or BDI indexed international journals.
BOOK SERIES EDITOR – Lawyer PhD Stud. ALEXANDRA HUIDU -She is a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Sociology of the University of Oradea, Romania, in co-coordination with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Grigore T. Popa from Iasi, Romania. She is also a researcher at the LUMEN Research Center in Social and Humanistic Sciences, Iasi, Romania and an associate researcher at the Laboratory of Family and Marital Couple Sociology at the Institute of Sociology of the Romanian Academy, Bucharest, Romania. Alexandra Huidu holds a law degree from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi, holds a master’s degree in Criminal Sciences, obtained at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi and worked for 12 years as a lawyer within Iasi Bar, Romania. She is a member of the Romanian Association of Bioethics and the International Association of Bioethics – IAB (the world association in the field). Her main areas of interest are medically assisted human reproduction, the status of the human embryo, stem cell research, genetic engineering, research ethics on human subjects, which she approaches from an interdisciplinary perspective: legal, sociological and bioethical. She is the author of the book “Medically Assisted Human Reproduction. The ethics of incrimination versus biological ethics. Comparative law study ”(Lumen Scientific Publishing House, Iaşi, Romania, 2009, second edition revised and added in 2017) and of several studies and articles in the fields mentioned above.
MEMBER OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD IN THE FIELDS OF SOCIOLOGY AND SOCIAL WORK – ASSOC. LECT. PhD MAGDALENA ROXANA NECULA – President of the Territorial Branch Iasi of the National College of Social Workers in Romania since February 2013 and member of the Image and Promotion Commission of the Romanian National College of Social Workers since March 2014. She is a leading social worker with a degree in social work since 2000 at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University from Iaşi, Faculty of Orthodox Theology“ Dumitru Stăniloaie ”Iaşi – Social Work Department. Graduate of the master courses in the field of “Social Management and Community Development” of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Faculty of Philosophy and Social and Political Sciences. She has a PhD in sociology since 2010 awarded by “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Faculty of Philosophy and Social and Political Sciences. Postdoctoral student of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy „Gr. T. Popa ” Iaşi within the POSDRU project “Postdoctoral Studies in the field of Health Policy Ethics ”. She has a professional experience as a social worker for 15 years, in the field of child protection, working in the non-governmental and governmental system. Since 2010 she has been an associate professor at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Faculty of Philosophy and Social and Political Sciences and the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. Ahe has participated in national and international conferences, publishing articles and co-authoring various collective volumes. Since 2009 and until now she coordinates the “Prichindel” Day Center within the Iaşi Community Assistance Directorate. She is a specialist in CEREAS – Social Assistance Resource Center in Romania since 2010, Scientific Referent in LUMEN Scientific Publishing House since 2013 and President of the Association “Near People” Iasi (2013).
MEMBER OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD IN THE FIELD OF POLITICAL SCIENCES – LECT PhD. LUCIAN DIRDALA -He is a full lecturer at Danubius University in Galati, where he teaches Introduction to Political Science, National and International Public Policies, Theories of International Relations, Decision Making in the European Union, Recent Approaches in International Relations, and Associate Lecturer at Alexandu Ioan Cuza University from Iasi, where he supports a series of specialized disciplines at the Faculty of Letters (Department of Journalism and Communication Sciences), the Faculty of Law (Center for European Studies), the Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences (Department of Political Sciences). He has a PhD in Political Science from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi since 2007 and holds a master’s degree in International Relations and European Studies, graduated from Central European University, Budapest. He has published numerous specialized papers in the field of political sciences.

CIPRIAN IFTIMOAEI – He is an associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social and Political Sciences, Alexandu Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, where he teaches the disciplines Social Research Methodology, Quality of Life, Sociology of Career and Profession / Labor Force Statistics. He is the deputy executive director of the Iasi County Directorate of Statistics. He has a bachelors degree in sociology and political science from the Faculty of Philosophy, „Al.I. Cuza ” University from Iaşi, holds a master’s degree in local public systems and policies, obtained from the same higher education institution, a diploma of senior civil servant (public administration; human resources management; strategic management; project management; communication and public relations; conflict resolution; financial management), obtained from the National Institute of Administration. He also holds the Diploma of Specialist in Diplomacy and Security (International Relations; security; diplomacy, ceremonial and diplomatic protocol; international conflict management; communication, mediation and negotiation in international affairs), issued by the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, holds a PhD in Political Science starting with the year 2012, and subsequently graduated the postgraduate courses Program of Excellence in International Relations, European Policies and Security, organized by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung – Romania Office, as well as postdoctoral studies in the field of political sciences. Among the many works published by the author in the field of political sciences we can list: About security, democratic consolidation and good governance.
