This paper raises some difficulties that a transgender person can face. At present there is no clear law in Romania about what transsexualism means, so the views in the Romanian society are controversial. The term difficulty aims is to highlight: discrimination of the society over transgender people and legal issues that arise when a person changes his gender (change of identity documents, validity of marriage after the transformation process, etc.)References
