LUMEN Scientific Publishing House offers its readers a collection of 17 scientific journals, in which articles with unidisciplinary, multidisciplinary, pluridisciplinary and transdisciplinary nature can be published, collection which due to the number of journals, the research fields covered, the national and international representations, both of the authors of published papers, as well as of the research institutions to which they are affiliated, was described as the most comprehensive and complex collection of scientific journals of a Romanian publishing house.

The LUMEN scientific journals are indexed in the most famous international databases, and due to this exposure, which successfully complements the quality of the published works, they are frequently mentioned in scientific papers locally and abroad, in the following fields: legal sciences, social sciences, multidimensional education, philosophy, political science, European studies, economics, administrative science, public administration, sociology, psychology, economic sciences, social psychology, medical sciences, biology, mediation and social welfare, social media, science and engineering.

To manage and publish its scientific journals, LUMEN Scientific Publishing House uses Open Journal Systems 2.4.8.1, which is an open source software developed, supported and distributed by the Public Knowledge Project under the GNU General Public License.

POSTMODERN OPENINGS – The journal aims to promote academic excellence in the social sciences and humanities regarding postmodernism and postmodernity in the context of globalization. The journal has an interdisciplinary orientation, promoting research fields such as: cultural studies, philosophy, culture and contemporary philosophy, philosophy of language, semiotics and sociology of culture, ethics.

EDITORIAL AND PUBLISHING PROCESS:

The stages of publication of an article in the LUMEN scientific journals are determined by the OJS system and include:

Journal Management: The editor is the one who configures the sections of the journal, the list of editors, reviewers and specialists in copy-editing and proofreading.

Proposal of the paper: the author uploads the document containing the article on the journal’s website, together with the article identification metadata and the open access indexing data.

Registration of the paper: the editor-in-chief distributes the proposed article to the designated editor, in order to start the editorial process.

Selection of reviewers: the editor sends the paper to designated reviewers from the scientific committee registered in the journal’s database.

Submitting peer reviews: reviewers submit peer-review forms, along with their recommendations, which can be evaluated by the editor.

Reviewing the recommendations of the reviewers: the editor verifies the submission of the peer-review form, the complete procedure and takes an editorial decision, including the resubmission of the article to the author, in order to revise it according to the comments of the reviewers.

Monitoring the editorial process by the author: the author has the possibility, through the OJS platform, to monitor the editorial process, to view the documents related to the proposed article, to be up to date with the peer-review process, to make revisions, modifications and additions to the article, to the editor’s request.

Final editing: involves the stages of copy-editing, proofreading and layout, a stage supervised by the designated editor.

Final editing check: is done by the editor, after which the document is sent to the author, in order to check the final version of the article and agree on good for publication.

Organizing the journal issue: the production of each journal issue and the distribution of articles accepted for publication in available journal issues are the responsibility of the editor, who, after completing this step, elaborates the table of contents of the issue.

Issue publishing: immediately after publication, the journal and the content of each article can be accessed in open access system.

Editorial process archive: all documents and records related to the editorial process are kept in a dedicated archive, both for published works and for those rejected from publication.

Current issue: The publication system of each article includes viewing facilities, including links to the extensive content of the published material, as well as to internal and external sources.

Journal archive: The current issue can also be viewed on the journal’s archive page, where all previous issues, including indexes done by open access search engines, Google’s, etc. are mentioned.
