Description:

The present research, focused on the radiography and diagnosis of the modalities of family, psychological, social and educational development of the children as a protection measure in the two substitute social environments – by comparison -, has revealed, in general, that, despite some progress quite significant registered in the residential-institutional environment on the line of the family and psycho-social-educative development of the children, however, we cannot fail to observe that the family situation and the general psycho-social-schooling of the children in difficulty placed as a protection measure in the assistance of maternal caretakers is clearly superior to that of the residential-institutional environment, in the sense that for most beneficiaries, the family-substitute environment has the highest openness, availability, acceptance, determination towards positive affective-sympathetic relationships of communication, cooperation, inclusion, trust, empathy, understanding, etc.  (The author)
