Non-discrimination is an important principle that should guide both the employment activity and the development of employment relations. Sometimes, in practice, there are cases of its violation, taking the form of discrimination. The debate in this article focuses on the presentation of the domestic legal framework applicable to the principle of non-discrimination, the role of the main competent body in notifying and resolving petitions, as well as the evolution and presentation of petitions registered in the period 2008-2023, in the field of access to employment and profession, with the aim of identifying the most frequent criteria allegedly violated in the analyzed field.
