The motor and biological development of young athletes is a complex process influenced by genetic, hormonal, nutritional, and environmental factors. During puberty, a child's body undergoes disproportionate changes in bone, muscle, and fat mass, with limbs growing more rapidly than the torso and with differentiated development of muscle fibers. These transformations affect coordination, strength, endurance, and the ability to adapt to intense physical effort. Cognitive functions such as attention, memory, and thinking develop simultaneously, influencing self-assessment and motivation for performance. Individual differences in the pace of biological maturation and physical preparedness lead to significant variations in performance parameters, such as maximal oxygen consumption and anaerobic power. Training plans must be tailored to each child’s stage of development, avoiding overload and supporting harmonious progress. Group motor activities, games, and competitions contribute to psychological, social, and cognitive development, fostering cooperation, communication, and respect for rules. An integrated understanding of biological, motor, and psychological development is an essential tool for effective sports education and the long-term performance of children. The article presents a theoretical analysis based on current scientific literature on the motor and biological development of young athletes.
