Description:
This paper is an attempt to systematize the teaching of the Hindu tradition of Mīmāṃsā to demonstrate its strong ethical character, but also to inscribe the precepts in practical philosophy. When we refer to Mīmāṃsā, we are referring only to the preceding branch, that is, the one called pūrva – not for chronological reasons, but because of the section of action (karma kāṇḍa) that it deals with. Regarding the successor branch, or uttara – known as the Vedānta – we want a reconciliation between the incompatible or contradictory perspectives between the two branches, proposing a syncretism with a mutually inclusive, not exclusive, as often happens.
