Description:

“This book is the culmination of a project I have been working on for several years, as it was launched in 2010, when the international scientific community celebrated The Year of Psychoanalysis, marking 100 years from the publishing of the Freudian article “The Origin and Development of Psychoanalysis”, in Volume XXI of The American Journal of Psychology, from April, 1910. My new book tries to capture the elective affinities that have managed, over time, to ensure a magical connection between Dante’s work, Freud’s psychoanalysis and Salvador Dalí’s painting, three destinies with many things in common, such as social rejection or misunderstanding of their genius by contemporaries. I also discovered certain elements or, rather, existential patterns or archetypes common to these three creators. The studies from the current volume also attempt to identify the influences of Dante’s creation on Freudian psychoanalysis, but also on psychoanalysis in general. I wanted to publish this volume in Anno Dantesco (The Year of Dante), set in 2021, during which the 700th anniversary of the passing of the Florentine poet was commemorated. Even though my book becomes public at the beginning of the years 2022, it is still dedicated to Dante’s commemorative event by the fact that it was completed, as a manuscript, in The Year of Dante.” (Autorul).
