Description:

We notice today more than ever that the contemporary world has almost completely lost its sense of sin. Although we see its destructive effects, sin is not perceived in its true dimension. Man today is always troubled and anxious, caught in the snares and pleasures of the passions, always in search of worldly happiness forgetting the ultimate purpose for which he was created, namely, the glorification of God and the attainment of eternal happiness. Misusing the freedom with which he was endowed by the act of creation, man today indulges in the sin that separates him from God and therefore is not reconciled with himself, with his fellows, he is scattered, troubled, troubled, always sad and troubled. In the Church man finds out what his purpose is on this earth, that of preparing for eternal life, he finds the means by which he can purify his soul, namely the Sacrament of Repentance. The road to the parental home where God awaits us with open arms begins with the awareness of sin and the determination not to sin, but it is not without obstacles. As long as we want the way back, we do not take the step of salvation, we avoid confession by bringing all sorts of justifications, trying in vain to calm our consciences. (The author)
