The present paper aims to diagnose the current political situation in Romania starting from the imagological construct of the post-December actors. In the context of public dissatisfaction with the political class, visible in the media, in polls and in the increasingly low turnout to voting, a work is needed to identify the imagological vulnerabilities of political figures and the substratum of distrust of the population. The paper proposes a comparison of the desirable with the reality in the hope of finding solutions applicable in the field of political communication. The motivation for choosing the theme came from the desire to understand in depth the metamorphoses of legitimacy in the post-December space. The research helps to understand the depth of the crisis, deeply rooted in the collective memories of the Romanian people. The novelty comes from the comparative approach of contemporary Romanian politicians, in terms of image legitimation. (The author)
