Description:
The main topic approached in this research, namely social gender (gender), refers to the psychological, social and cultural differences between women and men, to what is femininity and masculinity. The interest to research the gender and the way it is constructed in preschoolers has both reasons related to the rarity of qualitative research with children in Romania, and practical reasons to summarize some studies that make recommendations to parents and teachers to remove gender stereotypes and enhancing the potential of both girls and boys. The logic of this qualitative research was to describe the universe / universes of Romanian preschoolers, in the construction of concepts related to gender at the level of the peer group, but with a permanent filtering through the perspective of respecting the rights of the child.
