Description:
A widespread phenomenon both globally and nationally, single parenthood is increasingly common. Thus, there is an increase in the number of single-parent families worldwide, representing 24%. A percentage increase in the phenomenon of single parenthood, without taking measures to reduce the phenomenon, is a danger to the normal development of the family and society. Studies conducted in this field show that people at high risk of forming a single-parent family are females, young adolescents aged between 20-21 years, with a low level of schooling, unmarried and coming from disorganized or single-parent families. That is why I believe that special attention should be paid to young adolescents in order to prevent this phenomenon. For a better knowledge of the phenomenon of single parenthood, it is indicated to carry out a sociological research – in the field – both at community and societal level. (The author)
