In the general transport network, an appreciable share belongs to car transport, which, according to the unanimous appreciation of the specialists, will experience a rapid development in the following decades. This will lead to an increase in traffic arteries, an increase in the frequency of vehicles per unit of time and a diversification of car types. On the other hand, new problems will arise in ensuring the security, organization and direction of traffic, but also in the selection and training of people involved in car transport. Therefore, an essential role belongs to the psychology applied in transports, both at research level and by including psychological criteria in solving different problems. In the general context of the above statements, this paper is – in particular – a pilot research in the field of psychology applied in road transport, a work that is based on a solid and extremely rich bibliography.
