Description:

The theme of communication of course leads to major changes in terms of how to conceptualize the world and human behavior. The process of communication turns into a game, and as everything is put under the sign of “limitless” communication (Codoban, 1995) everything becomes a game. Transforming reality into a playground makes depth no longer matter. As a consequence, transcendence is excluded and any ontological model of origins is rejected. History, in turn, “breaks into pieces” (Vattimo). The principle of difference, of arbitrariness, articulates a new ontology, that of the significant surface, in which difference counts and not meaning. It is natural to ask then where man is, what or who he becomes? (The author)
