I had the first contact with the depression of Husi during my childhood years, when I first visited the city of Husi with my parents, at the annual Saint Mary’s party on September 14th. I was most impressed with the dynamics and diversity of the small town. Later, the job offer, but also the position of polarization center of the neighboring villages, determined me to orient myself towards it, being the closest urban point to my village, Isaiia. Life guided my steps to other localities of the country where I spent many years, but the provincial life in Husi, with a minimum of comfort, attracted me irresistibly, especially due to my nearby birthplace. During my student life, a good friend, the late Professor Boris Gorceac, seeing my inclinations to research the local historical and geographical phenomenon, suggested to me to start working on a historical-geographical work on Husi (1993). In this sense, he offered me a rich bibliographic material for consultation in order to prepare a monographic study. (The author)
