Contemporary society is characterized by an unprecedented proliferation of crisis situations and the lack of cohesion affects every area of public life. In this situation, it becomes increasingly difficult to overcome and successfully manage crises: the world’s political situation is uncertain, natural disasters are more frequent, armed conflicts are multiplying and financial fluctuations are increasing. The special element of a crisis situation is the fact that it is thrown into “stand-by”, by the appearance of another crisis, much more serious. In the aftermath of an earthquake, the Western media and the international community showed their kindness and sympathy for the victims: all the great powers, which until recently had vehemently spoken out against China and its reprisals, did not hesitate to provide aid to the Chinese people. Another equally spectacular element is the context of a PR campaign. In China, a communist country, the practice of PR is limited by serious legislative limitations and the negotiation process is particularly difficult, often non-existent. (The author)
