Globalization is a fashionable topic, ubiquitous in media discourse, in the literature, but also in everyday conversations. Opinions about this set of processes that mark all aspects of our lives are often antagonistic, so for a better understanding of globalization, I felt the need for personal and objective analysis. This paper aims to pursue the effect of globalization on individuals and states. The analysis is limited to economic and social aspects, more precisely, to the so-called economic security, the political and cultural aspects, which can each be the subject of other works, being intentionally left in the background.
