Description:
The book of Mr. Lucian Mircea Popescu, “The archeology of historical and political thinking: A hypercritical theory of modern society and knowledge” is a much more ambitious project than the title says. Indeed, it intends not only to present certain aspects belonging to an archeological past in the Foucaultian sense, but to substantiate historical knowledge from a hypercritical perspective. Unlike science, historical knowledge is related to understanding, perception and a particular way of thinking. At the same time, this historical knowledge is not so much related to the laws of manifestation of the human, as to an accommodation of our thinking with the mental data and conditions of an era, which, we must observe, in one way or another leads to the theories of the sign and interpretations (semiotics / semiology and hermeneutics) and alongside the observation, the narrative.
