This volume is an attempt to identify the ethical dimensions of a cultural paradigm that is gaining more and more dynamism and scope: Holistic paradigm or after Theodor Codreanu transmodern paradigm (2005). The stage in which this paradigm is fully affirmed we agree to call it transmodernity. Transmodernity currently coexists with postmodernity and that is why many authors identify the two paradigms, considering them a single cultural matrix. We prefer to notice as a distinction between the two models a centripetal tendency, focusing in the fundamental unity of the world, for transmodernism and a centrifugal, deconstructive tendency, specific to postmodernity.
