Description:

The basis of this paper was the personal interest in studying migration mediated by a personal experience of migration through travel (three years ago) in Spain. The need to explain certain behaviors of the migrants I met and to frame the event in a context generated searches of a village in the county of residence to create as accurate as possible the framework of the experience. In this paper the phenomenon of migration for work abroad of Romanians from Sperieteni village is approached through the prism of the theories of transnationalism described in the chapter on establishing the conceptual framework, and I will refer to it interchangeably using the terms: circulatory migration, temporary residence abroad or migration for work to try to make a short x-ray of the village from the perspective of migration.
