Description:

For more than two decades, the activity of public relations as a systematic and planned effort of an organization to gain understanding, goodwill, sympathy and public support has been increasingly present in the Romanian public space. As it was natural, the evolution of public relations went through an enthusiastic pioneering period, after which, gradually, it became more and more professionalized. In this context, besides the good knowledge of the theoretical aspects of public relations, a practitioner interested in strengthening his reputation, in “acquiring public understanding and acceptance”, needs at least an effective plan and some practical tools to put in place. implementation of the plan; that is exactly what Bernays stipulated almost 90 years ago. Given these requirements, we propose to those who wish to initiate in a good knowledge and management of public relations techniques a series of recipes long verified in practice and which, applied correctly, can produce the expected results. Moreover, we propose ways to integrate these techniques in public relations campaigns, following rules and algorithms whose utility has been confirmed by the practice on numerous occasions.
