Description:
The social challenges of contemporaneity tend to influence all subsystems and perhaps, first of all, the family one. Thus, from the traditional space to the trends of post-modernity, the family has experienced a variety of ways of being. The tendencies of conjugal individualism are increasingly affecting the solidarity of the marital couple, the way in which the individual manages to incorporate the other into himself. In this sense, the book aims to investigate in detail the causes that have contributed to the transformation of the marital couple so that we can form a clearer opinion on the new tendencies and challenges regarding conjugality. The importance of this study derives from the fact that by identifying the differences of mentality from one marital system to another regarding the institution of marriage and how to perform the functions in the marital couple, one can better highlight the different orientations of young people in terms of assuming and performing the functions, but also the way in which a potential cohabitation with the families of origin may or may not be functional.
